How the ESL Program Supports MSAHM Students

Academic English for clinical study

ESL classes focus on the English needed to read TCM textbooks, follow lectures in MSTCM and MSCSE programs, and communicate clearly with patients in clinical practicum.

Research-backed teaching

Faculty bring research and graduate-level training from Stanford, UC Davis, SF State, UC Berkeley, and California State. Two of three faculty hold dual master’s degrees (TESOL + Linguistics or TESOL + MBA).

Eligibility

ESL is available only to students enrolled in the MSAHM program — it is not a standalone language course or open-enrolment program. See the ESL program page for class details.
