By providing your mobile phone number and consenting to receive SMS text messages from Whitewater University of California (“WUC”), you agree to the following terms.
1. Program Description
WUC’s SMS notification program sends transactional messages to enrolled students and clinic patients, including class schedule reminders, tuition payment reminders, course enrollment confirmations, and clinic appointment reminders and confirmations.
2. Consent
Consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary and is not required as a condition of enrollment, treatment, or any WUC service, benefit, or transaction. Consent is not bundled with any other agreement or form.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency may vary depending on your enrollment status, scheduled appointments, and active applications.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Please consult your mobile carrier for details regarding your messaging plan. WUC does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may.
5. Opt-Out
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After replying STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent unless you re-subscribe.

7. Supported Carriers
Messages are sent through Twilio and may be delivered via major U.S. carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Privacy
Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at https://wuc.edu/privacy-policy. We do not share or sell your mobile phone number to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
9. Changes to These Terms
WUC may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or applicable law. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were most recently revised. Continued use of the SMS program after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
