About the WUC TCM Medical Center
The only free acupuncture clinic San Jose California Bay Area residents rely on for low-cost TCM care.
The WUC Acupuncture Clinic offers TCM diagnosis and acupuncture treatment without charges — a complimentary, courtesy service from Whitewater University.
At Whitewater University, our mission is threefold: promote the benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine, extend a helping hand to those unable to afford healthcare services, and foster a stronger, healthier community across the San Francisco Bay Area.
Patients pay only a minimal $20 fee per office visit, which helps cover material costs and documentation expenses. There is no charge for the Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis or the acupuncture treatments provided by our TCM practitioners. This complimentary service is a testament to WUC’s commitment to community well-being.
As a nonprofit university, WUC’s mission is to provide affordable healthcare service and to promote TCM philosophy & education to people in the San Francisco Bay Area.

🌳 The Tree of Life — Free Chinese Herbal Medicine
Complimentary Chinese Herbal Medicine
If you have Medi-Cal insurance, lack health insurance, or are experiencing economic hardship, you are eligible to receive Chinese herbal medicine at no cost.
Simply take one of the leaves from the “Tree of Life” Donation Wall located in the WUC TCM Medical Center and present it to the front desk. Your prescription for Chinese herbal medicines will be covered. This is part of our free TCM diagnosis and treatment program — a complimentary offer courtesy of Whitewater University and the donors who support the WUC philosophy.
How It Works (donors)
If you support the WUC philosophy and donate $100 to the WUC TCM Medical Center, we will place four leaves on the Tree of Life Donation Wall. Each leaf enables a patient to take it to our front desk to cover a prescription of Chinese herbal medicines — each leaf represents $25, equivalent to a week’s worth of Chinese herbal medicine.
