MSAHM / TCM Student Orientation
School of TCM & Acupuncture
Students who are pursuing the Master of Science in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (MSAHM) or the TCM & Acupuncture certificate should attend the orientation session for all first-year and transfer students. The session covers the WUC clinic structure, ACCSC standards, supervised clinical hours, and the path to the California Acupuncture Board (CAB) licensing exam.
Next session: dates are scheduled per cohort. Email admin@wuc.edu with your student ID and program to be added to the next MSAHM/TCM orientation roster.
MSCSE Student Orientation
School of Computer Science Engineering
Students who are pursuing the Master of Science in Computer Science Engineering (MSCSE) should attend the orientation session for all first-year and transfer students. The session covers the 14-month curriculum structure, the capstone project pathways, AI/ML and cloud-engineering tracks, and the international student timeline if you’re entering on an F-1 visa.
Next session: dates are scheduled per cohort. Email admin@wuc.edu with your student ID to be added to the next MSCSE orientation roster.
Distance Learning Orientation
Dept. of Academic Affairs
Distance Learning provides flexible options to help you meet your educational goals — expanding learning opportunities while allowing students to balance educational demands with work and family. All students and faculty taking distance-learning courses are required to complete the distance-learning orientation before the first day of class, regardless of which program they’re enrolled in.
How to complete it: the distance-learning orientation is delivered as a self-paced module inside WUC Moodle. If you don’t see it on your dashboard within 1 business day of enrollment, email admin@wuc.edu.
Before your first day at WUC — checklist
Whether your orientation is in-person or via the distance-learning module, take care of these six items in your first week.
- Confirm Moodle credentials. Log in to learn.wuc.edu. See the MyClass guide if you don’t have access yet.
- Find your courses. Verify all your enrolled courses appear on your Moodle dashboard. If something is missing, contact the Admin Office same day.
- Confirm tuition payment. Your enrollment isn’t finalized until the term invoice posts. Verify with the Finance Office (admin@wuc.edu).
- Read each course syllabus. Syllabi are posted on Moodle. Note the office-hour times and instructor email — bookmark them.
- Visit the campus (if local). Whitewater University is at 3150 Almaden Expressway, Suite 111, San Jose. Mon–Fri 10:00–18:00.
- Bookmark MyWUC. The MyWUC portal is your go-to for class registration, transcript requests, library, and complaint forms.
Why Whitewater University student orientation matters
Students who complete orientation start the term knowing where to find their syllabus, who their adviser is, and how to escalate concerns. It is the single most effective hour you’ll spend before your first class — and for distance-learning students, it is required.
